About Only Fur Paws

Only Fur Paws, I have a very friendly 11-year-old Red Nose Pit- bull named Zy. When Zy was around 9 years of age veterinarians discovered Zy had developed food allergies, and possible may have glaucoma, or possibly developing cataracts. His eyes, nose, ears, paws, and growing were completely red and inflamed. Patches of hair missing in various places of his body. Excessive gnawing, biting, licking, and scratching, caused his skin to become raw and irritated. Hot spots in various places on his body causing pain and discomfort. The Veterinarian prescribed antibiotics for his allergies. While taking the medication his allergies would suppress temporarily, however, as soon as the medication was done, his allergies arise again, and a refill of the prescription would be needed thus not being a cure to the solution. The search for a new brand of dog food, which would alleviate his symptoms began. Petco, Petfood Express, local pet stores in various nearby cities, trying brand after brand of dog food, just about everything on the shelves, nothing seemed to help with my dog's condition. I truly believe the poor products associated in the foods he was consuming contributed to his allergies and decrease in eyesight. Upon reading and extensive research, I found this to be true. Poor products associated in dog food can be harmful and pose health problems to dogs. After an extensive unsuccessful search for a more suitable, healthier brand of dog food, my mother suggested that I should begin to make his dog food. At first, I wasn't too keen on the idea of making my dog's food, after a few more unsuccessful attempts on a new brand of dog food, my mind set soon changed and gave thought into the suggestions of my mother. I followed through on my mother's suggestion. I began research to attain the knowledge of foods dogs can consume, which will be beneficial to their health, bodies, and meet their nutritional needs. It was a process of elimination of what foods he would be able to safely consume to help with his condition. After finding a balance of nutrients, that would be beneficial to him and that would meet his daily nutritional needs, while preventing his allergies from occurring permanently. Each time Only Fur Paws is placed in his dog bowl, the bowl is completely licked clean every time, wanting more and more!
