How much food do I feed my dog?
Every dog is different based on breed (age, weight, spay/neuter status, and activity level), recommend speaking with a veterinarian can ensure that your dog gets the precise nutrition they need and determine the exact number of calories your dog should receive.
Speak with vets or nutritionist on your dog's ideal weight, portion their food accordingly to help them gain or lose weight. Remember every dog is different. Please contact your veterinarian for guidance if you feel your dog needs more or less.
What if my dog has a sensitive stomach?
An upset stomach is never fun and can be caused by many factors. A new diet can often disrupt the good bugs in your dog's gut (called the microbiome). Transitioning over a period of time will give your dog's microbiome time to adapt to the new diet.
Days 1–3: Serve 25% of the whole portion size of the new food mixed with 75% old food
Days 4–6: Serve 50% of the new food mixed with 50% of the old food
Days 7–10: Serve 75% of the new food mixed with 25% of the old food
Day 11+: Serve 100% of the new food.
The transition instructions should help ensure a smooth and easy adjustment to the Only Fur Paws. It should take around ten days, with each step lasting about three days.
